SEO audit

Reach, understand, trust

Can it reach it?
  • indexing
  • sitemap, robots.txt
  • noindex, canonical
Does it understand it?
  • one H1 per page
  • H2, H3, internal links
  • structured data
Does it trust it?
  • speed
  • errors, redirects
  • duplicate content
Even a beautiful site can be invisibleNo H1, every page with the same title, images without alt text.

What does a technical SEO audit show?

Whether Google can reach, understand and trust your website. Even a beautiful website can be invisible if it has no H1, if every page carries the same title, or if the images have no alt text.

At the end of the audit you do not get a two-hundred-page report, but a prioritised list: what to fix, in which order, with what impact.

What the audit delivers

A table by page and by issue, with priorities. A summary for management. And if you ask, we also carry out the fixes: directly on websites we built ourselves, in coordination with the developer on others.

The first measurable result shows in Search Console within a few weeks.

What do we examine?

Six areas, page by page and across the whole site.

indexing

What Google sees, what it does not, and why.

Sitemap, robots.txt, noindex: one wrong setting can remove entire groups of pages from search.

structure

One H1 per page, logical H2 and H3, internal links.

The structure is how Google and AI search understand what the page is about and what matters on it.

speed

Core Web Vitals on mobile and desktop: loading, responsiveness, layout shift.

A slow page loses both the visitor and the search engine.

metadata

Title, meta description, canonical URL, hreflang.

These decide what appears in the search results, and which language version is shown to whom.

structured data

Schema.org markup: organisation, product, article, FAQ.

It helps Google understand the page more precisely, and it can show rich results too.

errors

404 pages, redirect chains, duplicate content.

Each of them takes away from crawling and from the visitor, so the list of fixes is part of the audit.

Priority by impact

This is how we rank the issues we find.

PriorityExampleWhy
Criticalimportant page set to noindex, wrong canonicalGoogle does not see the page
Highmissing or duplicate H1 and titleGoogle does not understand what it is about
Mediumslow LCP on mobile, large imagesworse experience and ranking

What do we need?

Read access to Search Console and GA4 is enough. We also crawl the website from the outside, through Google's eyes, and compare it with Ahrefs data.

For a medium-sized company website the audit takes a few working days.

Speed

Core Web Vitals

We measure monthly; if it drops, we find the causeA large image, a new external script, a slowing server. Thresholds: Google Core Web Vitals.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

We measure the three Core Web Vitals metrics: LCP (loading), INP (responsiveness), CLS (layout shift), on mobile and desktop. If they get worse, we find the cause: a large image, a new third-party script, a slowing server.

After the fix we track the change in the Search Console Core Web Vitals report.
