What makes a good food photo?

The plate looks exactly the way the guest receives it, just at its best moment. Fresh, hot, steaming, melting: these moments last a few seconds, so we work together with the kitchen.

We adjust the order of the dishes to the kitchen's pace, so service does not stop either.

One day, months of content

One well-planned shoot day gives you a menu, a website, ads and months of posts. We put together the dish list and the shot plan in advance, so by the end of the day you have everything you will need in the coming months.

With a seasonal menu it is worth shooting several times a year.

Four kinds of material in one day

With a dish list and shot plan prepared in advance, adjusted to the kitchen's pace.

menu

Every dish in consistent light and angle.

Consistent side by side on the menu, the website and the ordering platform.

social

In hand, on the table, pouring, cutting, with the atmosphere of the venue.

The movement and the steam last a few seconds, so we work together with the kitchen.

venue

The interior, the counter, the chefs at work.

Guests choose not only the food but the place.

video

Short vertical videos for Reels and TikTok, on the same day.

In the same light, so photo and video appear in one style.

What we shoot with

Medium format Hasselblad H3D and full frame Sony A7 IV, Zeiss Batis and Zeiss vintage lenses, two Godox AD200 Pro and Godox speedlights, softboxes and reflectors in every size, a table top rig and a mobile photo studio. Retouching is done in-house on 10 and 12 bit monitors calibrated every year, so colours are accurate on screen and in print.

We keep the files in three copies in two separate buildings for the period agreed.

Equipment and data security, raw footage and backup

Every shot is recorded to two memory cards at once, and on the day of the shoot it exists in three copies, two of them in separate buildings. Fire, water or any other damage cannot take the footage.

We work with our own equipment: Sony FX3 and A7 IV cameras, Zeiss lenses, broadcast grade sound and light. Editing and grading happen in our own studio on 10 and 12 bit monitors calibrated every year.

  • Three copies, two buildingsMaster workstation, our own NAS backing up with hashes over encrypted VPN, and a mirrored second master at another site.
  • Secure handoverFinished work arrives through an independent business cloud, which is one more backup.
  • Raw footage on requestStored as agreed, included in the price with an annual contract. Raw footage is handed over on request.
