Webshop development with a custom webshop engine

A custom webshop engine for your products: fast product pages, a short checkout, and tracking from cart to purchase.

A custom webshop engine, built for your products

Shop engine

Our own engine instead of a template

Rented template
  • monthly platform fee
  • built on plugins
  • lots of code you don't need
  • the template dictates the process
Custom shop engine
  • no monthly platform fee
  • written for your processes
  • only what is needed loads
  • source code, domain, accounts: yours
Written for your products and processesB2B pricing, custom shipping rules, variants, bundles: whatever you need.

What does a custom webshop engine mean?

We do not build on a rented template but on a system written for your products and processes. Only what is needed gets loaded, so it is fast, and it does exactly what you need: B2B prices, custom shipping rules, product variants, bundle offers.

The source code, the domain and the tracking accounts are yours. There is no monthly platform fee for the shop, and you do not depend on a plugin update.

Tracking from cart to purchase

In a webshop every step counts: who viewed the product, who added it to the cart, who abandoned it. We track these as dedicated events, with value and product data, and pass them on server-side to Google and Meta.

This way the ads optimise for purchases and cart value, and you can see at which step the shop loses customers.

From catalogue to payment

Four parts that work together in a webshop, each built for your process.

product page

Filters, variants, images and a description that answers the customer's questions.

With structured data Google also understands what is on the page, so the product page works in search too.

cart

As few steps as possible: customer account or guest checkout, coupon, bundle offer.

Every unnecessary field is a customer who abandons the cart.

payment

Card, bank transfer, cash on delivery, with your contracted providers.

A successful purchase goes into tracking with value and product data, server-side.

logistics

Stock sync, shipping methods, courier integration and invoicing connection.

From here the order runs on by itself, without manual copying.

Webshop events

The tracking events, following the recommended GA4 naming.

Product photo and copy in one place

A webshop is only as good as its product page. We shoot the product photos in our own studio, a copywriter writes the description, optimised for search, with structured data for Google.

So the shop does not launch with empty shelves, and the product pages work in search from day one. Details: product photo and SEO copy.

Server-side tracking for your ads

We build tracking into the website's own code: the dataLayer signals when something happens, the browser GTM collects it, and the server-side GTM running on your own subdomain passes it on to GA4, Google Ads, the Meta Conversions API and the TikTok Events API. Consent is handled according to Consent Mode v2.

Frequently asked questions: webshop development

Why not Shopify or WooCommerce?

They are good starting points, but they come with monthly fees, plugins and compromises. A custom engine is built for your processes, and the source code is yours.

Will the webshop be mine?

Yes: the source code, the domain and the tracking accounts are all in your name.

Can cart abandonment be tracked?

Yes, we track adding to cart, starting checkout and the purchase as separate events, so you can see where customers drop off.

Can it be a B2B webshop?

Yes, with prices per customer group, registration-only access and custom ordering rules.

Who uploads the products?

On request we upload the first batch of products with photos and copy, after that your team manages them in the admin on their own.
